11 - the shoe goblin

This strip has been taken down to save space on my blog, but you can still view the original strip on the offical page here.

Here are the comments to accompany this strip:

another all colour edition , and it's a long one too. I was going to
split it into two (after the 4th frame), but em pointed out that the
first 4 frames aren't really very funny as a stand alone strip.
And make sure to visit the official site and tell me what you think of the new bilious colour scheme. Still, it's better than dark purple with green text.

And finally: if you do like it please vote for me! I really want to see
how high I can get on the charts this month - I've already got up
higher than last month with your help, and I hope I can get even higher
before it's over. And if you do vote you'll get to see an added bonus
sketch of that adorable little shoe goblin. Woo. I should imagine you'd
like to vote every day just for another look at his cute little bell.
Go on.

I would like to draw your attention ....

to the new category in the Gallery.
This time round it's 'the Apocalypse' (as suggested by Pru), so I'm
expecting lots of lovely visions of how it all ends. I'm a bit scared
already.

And *ahem* well, since you're all here anyway you might as well pop
over to the Beaver and Steve page and vote for me (if you haven't
already). It'll be good karma.

12 - the mighty GOL - part 1

I've taken this strip down to save space on my blog, but you can still see the original strip at the official site here.

here are the comments to accompany this strip:

This was supposed to be an eight panel comic, but time was running out
so I decided to split it into two four panel comics. As a result I'm
not really sure if this one is strong enough to stand on it's own.
Hopefully the next issue will make it clear where I was going with all
this. Oh yeah, and universes should probably have an apostrophe.
Otherwise, enjoy. And, um, well, you know, VOTE! I am a vote whore.

13 - the mighty GOL - part 2

This strip has been taken down to save space in the blog, but you can still read it at the official site here.

I'm off work sick today, so I'm going to go back to bed now, but I'll
be back to read your comments later. And as ever please keep voting -
new vote pictures every day! Thanks for your support. Now bed. Bler.

A subject that I do not normally discuss

Well, I'm back at work again today after my long sleep, and my return
brings with it great news. The last few weeks my office has been
blighted by a terrible famine, of the worst possible kind: A biscuit
famine. That's not to say there weren't any biscuits, the box was
always overflowing, but every morning they would buy the same pack -
some sort of 'favourites selection', but what manner of man would
choose biscuits such as these as their favourites I cannot say. It was
hard to put a fingar on exactly what it was, but somehow the chocolate
digestives were subtly different from what you or I would call a
chocolate digestive. And yet this subtle difference caused suffering as
yet unseen upon this earth as I was denied the quality biscuits I so
longed for. As the old saying goes: 'biscuits biscuits everywhere and
not a bite to eat'.

But today as I walked in the door I could sense there was something
different in the air, something almost magical. And lo, there in the
biscuit tin, as golden as the sun, was a gleaming host of rich teas.
McVities rich teas. Now it's still a long way from a chocolate rich
tea, the epitome of biscuits, but it's a shining beacon of hope in
these dark times. A hope that maybe, just maybe the chocolate rich teas
will come again. And when they do - I'll be ready.

Compulsive eater. Sort of.

I have a little problem when it comes to eating. It's not that I eat
too much - I'm pretty good at only having meals when I'm hungry, and I
rarely snack between meals. My problem is that I hate to waste food, so
whenever I'm served a meal, I'll keep eating til every last mouthful is
gone, even after it's long since stopped giving me any pleasure. This
isn't normally a problem, but today I went to the John Snow pub for
lunch, frequent haunt of bloggers and servers of the worlds largest
dishes. I was full after eating the cajun spiced chicken fillet, but I
still had a plate piled high with wedges, and despite almost giving up
with just a handful left I finally managed to get them all down. It was
no fun at all. And there's a haribo jelly palm tree sitting on my desk,
and I know I'm going to have to eat that too.

Now if everyone will excuse me I'll be curling up under my desk for a nap.

hard to put your finger on

Has anybody ever noticed how hard it is to get a haribo jelly pineapple out of a glass of water?

Very hard.

mmm - fruity water.
